Derrick Lewis returns to action this week against Sergey Spivak. ‘The Black Beast’ will be looking to bounce back after suffering consecutive losses in the UFC and also prove some of his doubters wrong. However, ‘Polar Bear’ will be looking to make a halt to his charge on UFC Fight Night. Moreover, the buzz is spreading everywhere as the fight is vital for both the fighters. This made Daniel Cormier make a bold prediction for this fight. Moreover, the former UFC double champion also predicts that his winner will get the job done via knockout.

Daniel Cormier reveals his prediction for Derrick Lewis v. Sergey Spivak fight

Daniel Cormier and Ryan Clark in their podcast DC & RC gave their predictions in the fight between Derrick Lewis and Sergey Spivak. Moreover, they had contrasting views in relation to the fight in their “Tap in Tap out” segment. Clark picked Spivak as his winner in the fight happening on UFC Fight Night. He said, “I Tap-out (predicts that Lewis loses against Spivak). I’m slowly losing faith in Derrick Lewis. I think it’s the way he’s been losing. He’s fighting people who are no longer scared to strike with him and they are putting him down.”

Furthermore, the Super Bowl champion added that the manner in which the opponents have been defeating ‘The Black Beast’ makes him predict his downfall in the next fight, too. However, the former UFC double champion agreed with the views of his partner but had a different winner of the fight, regardless.

After Clark predicted Lewis will lose the fight, Cormier said “RC, I really kind of like I agree with you, but don’t know if Spivak is the guy.” Furthermore, the UFC commentator added, “I don’t know if. I’m not trying to insult Sergey Spivak because I like the kid. I think he is a nice guy. I think he is good fighter…”

Cormier clearly was not confident if ‘The Black Beast’ could get the job done this week but nevertheless predicted him as his favored winner.

Cormier also made some bold predictions regarding Lewis’s future

Cormier added some insights about the heavyweight division too. The former heavyweight champion said, “Remember what I said earlier about the levels of top 5 to top 10, he is still losing to guys that are ranked very highly and I just don’t know if Sergey is like quite at that level so.”

Moreover, ‘DC’ predicted how the fight will end, “I’m gonna tap in that Derrick Lewis wins the fight. I think he’s gonna knock him out…”

Furthermore, the UFC commentator also said that Lewis may be done at the top of the heavyweight division. However, he claimed that he refuses to believe that ‘The Black Beast’ can’t knock out at least the top 15 ranked heavyweights in UFC.
