The commentators during UFC Vegas 88 did not fail to let people know about Mark Coleman’s condition in the recent turn of events. They were happy to see the former UFC champion recovering well as Michael Bisping narrated what went down when Coleman’s house was on fire.

“This is an amazing story. He’s asleep, his dog Hammer comes and licks him, wakes him up, house is on fire. He goes upstairs, saves his mother… goes back into the house, carries his father out of the house,” said Michael Bisping. ‘The Count’ further mentioned that Mark Coleman could not save his pet dog as Hammer fell victim to the house fire. Although that was a sad situation, Coleman appeared to be happy to have been able to save his parents.

“He went back in to get the dog. Sadly, Hammer the dog did not make it… The first words out of his mouth was, ‘I am the happiest man alive. I was able to save my mother and father,” Bisping further stated. ‘The Count’ saluted Coleman’s bravery while also paying tribute to his pet dog.

“Well done, Mark Coleman. You have the respect of the mixed martial arts community and of course, Hammer [Coleman’s pet dog], rest in peace,” Bisping added. Not only ‘The Count’, but Dominick Cruz also shared a few words for Mark Coleman while also mourning the loss of Hammer in the incident.

Dominick Cruz hails Coleman as a firefighter with “no equipment”

Dominick Cruz, like many others, was impressed with how Mark Coleman was able to pull off during the house fire. When firefighters go in to save people from a burning house, they often have their equipment with them. That equipment adds more chances of their success, but Coleman did not need that when he saved his parents. Moreover, Cruz also felt sorry for the Hall of Famer for having to choose between his parents and his pet dog.
