“He’s one of those rarities. That has the size, has power, maybe not to the level that Ngannou has. But he has size. He has those things. That you either have them or you don’t have them. But he also has the other things, the technique, the development, you know, the guile if you will,” Atlas told Rideout. “Just the good fundamentals and sophistication that usually you connect with smaller guys.”

“In some way, he reminds me a little bit of Tyson Fury. Fury’s this giant, huge mammoth of a man. And usually, you don’t see the agility connected to that and the sophistication of style and technique connected to that as you do with Fury. That’s what makes him so novel. So unique, so special that he has the combination and I see that with Gane.”

Atlas especially stressed on Gane’s fluid movements and presence of mind that separates him from the regular 265-pound lot. At last, he made a generalization of Gane’s technique with a mythological connotation “He’s like Goliath with David’s brain. He’s in a heavyweight’s body with a mind of a lightweight.”
