Conor McGregor‘s fans are used to a lot of things as a regular day on the internet. This includes how there is an internet war raging out between McGregor and some other celebrity almost every other day. The internet is a vast place for people to interact and challenge each other without facing anybody directly. It doesn’t always turn into a war. Even with ‘The Notorious’, he does not react every time he is called out. After all, the UFC star is smart enough to realize the boundaries. In a recent incident, Conor McGregor hasn’t yet reacted to the huge callout received by his neighboring islander. A retired English rugby star has challenged the Irishman to a match, testing his ability.

Jamie Foster, a former player of the Workington AFC, recently tweeted an almost impossible-to-complete challenge. He re-tweeted a post that asked, “If you could watch one player from another sport play rugby league, who would you choose?

Foster tagged ‘The Notorious’ while openly challenging him. If people could hear each other in comments, we could hear a lot of gasping for sure. Foster appears to be a bold man.

Should Conor McGregor feel intimidated by the challenge?

Considering his niche, the challenge does seem a little too much for the ex-UFC champion. Jamie Foster used to play for Workington AFC in the Northern Premier League. Foster was a hardworking athlete. This gives him a similarity to the Irish fighting machine. In his recent tweet, he called out Conor McGregor for a match. “@TheNotoriousMMA… play him at hooker, see how he gets on… I think he’s in for a shock,” tweeted Foster under the post.

The legend has seen the Irishman prove his worth inside the octagon and now wants him to do the same in a rugby stadium. He wants McGregor to play the role of a ‘hooker’ in a game. This means that he would have to be one of the team’s forwards. The name ‘hooker’ comes from the fact that the player in this role would have to ‘hook’ the ball during the ‘scrum’.

Will McGregor be playing in the NPL Rugby league soon?

It is highly unlikely for ‘The Notorious’ to ignore such a big call out. However, the problem is that this is not a serious call-out. If it had been, fan fantasies would have been all over the place. Whether McGregor would be a successful rugby player is debatable. The fighter sure is a fast learner.
