Belfort and Bisping fought back in 2013 with the former emerging victorious via knockout. Bisping revealed that he doesn’t hold grudges against any opponent that had bettered him in a fight. However, Belfort is an exception as ‘The Count’ says the Brazilian was on performance-enhancing drugs when they fought.

In a recent episode of the Believe You Me Podcast, Bisping said, “I hope Evander beats the f**k out of him. That’s all I’m going to say, I’m not going to go into a technical breakdown of it. God knows what Vitor has been doing. We knew he had good boxing, we knew he had fast hands, we knew he could pack a punch.”

“Evander Holyfield is a big dude. I f*cking hope [he beats Belfort]. I would take great pleasure in that. I don’t care what you say, he was on juice and he beat me fair and square. When people beat me in the past, I don’t harbour a grudge, I wish them all the best… He’s just a piece of sh*t. I don’t give a fu*k… I hope Evander batters him,” he added further.

It’s understandable why Bisping doesn’t have fond memories of his loss to Befort. PEDs in combat sports can give an athlete an unfair advantage over his opponents. Maybe that is primarily the reason behind Bisping having a sour taste in his mouth about the loss.

That being said, Holyfield is one of the best boxers ever to step foot inside the squared ring. But at 57, it is questionable whether he is still the fighter that he once used to be. Only time will tell if Bisping gets his wish fulfilled this weekend.
