One of the most underrated divisions in the UFC currently is the light-heavyweight division. Jan Blachowicz held the title till October 2021, but lost his belt to the seemingly ageless Glover Teixeira.

Jan Blachowicz‘s legendary Polish power was lacking in his submission defeat against Glover Teixeira at UFC 267. With the Brazilian being crowned as the current light-heavyweight champ, he issued a challenge to his next opponent immediately.
Jiri Prochazka is one of the most elusive fighters in the light-heavyweight division, with an elite striking status that the UFC has seen only from a few. The fight was apparent, and so was the date, until now.
Glover Teixeira vs. Jiri Prochazka – Why the wait?
The Brazilian and Czech were initially slated to fight on May 7th at UFC 274, but Glover Teixeira has confirmed that the fight has now been postponed to June’s UFC 275.

According to the source above, Teixeira also revealed that the location for UFC 275 has not yet been finalized. To address the obvious, fans want to know why the fight has been pushed back. Well, the reasons are undisclosed as of now and might remain that way.

On the one hand, we have a 42-year-old UFC veteran who won the belt from an individual younger than him in one of the biggest upsets in the company. In undoubtedly, the most competitive era of MMA, being a champion at 42 is no simple task.

On the other hand, we have one of the best strikers that the UFC has to offer. Jiri Prochazka has torn the division open upon his arrival in the promotion. Fight fans predict that Prochazka will be able to dismantle the Brazilian easily.
