The second fight took place in January and many believe that Poirier’s momentum going into the trilogy is critical. However, Conor McGregor has shown himself to be a wild card with making corrections and bouncing back from losses. His showcase against Nate Diaz at UFC 202 showed that he’s willing and able to make the necessary changes.

Etching a win over the winner of Poirier vs McGregor will help aid in that effort. Several pressing questions will be answered when the curtain is finally drawn at UFC 264.
