HILARIOUS! Daniel Cormier and Khabib Nurmagomedov Troll Each Other as They Meet Again

Famed MMA Coach Javier Mendez shared a hilarious video grab featuring his star pupils Daniel Cormier and Khabib Nurmagomedov. The aforementioned UFC stars who hail out of San Jose’s American Kickboxing Academy are arguably two of the greatest, period. Moreover, when the two championship-caliber fighters link up, the electricity of their friendship shines through.

Javier Mendez captured the two UFC Hall of Famers engaging in a quirky back and forth as is the staple of their interactions. Additionally, Khabib Nurmagomedov’s cousin Umar Nurmagomedov was also part of the interaction adding to the overall vibe. Chiefly, Nurmagomedov and Cormier met in Abu Dhabi last week as Umar was competing on the UFC Fight Night card.

Khabib Nurmagomedov and Daniel Cormier: An overview

The Eagle’ who boasts of a perfect 29-0 record recently came out and all but shut down any possibility of an MMA return. Khabib Nurmagomedov retired at UFC 254, following another emphatic title defense against Justin Gaethje. Despite being in the best form of his life, ‘The Eagle’ decided to fulfill certain commitments made to his family.

There are several lightweight contenders chomping at the bit to make an attempt at becoming the first to beat Khabib. Dustin Poirier, Michael Chandler, and Charles Oliveira are certain 155-pounders who lead the pack to secure a scrap with ‘The Eagle’. However, Nurmagomedov hasn’t shown any interest in the aforementioned divisional contenders and will lie low for the foreseeable future.

As for Daniel Cormier, his retirement is far more definitive in the eyes of the MMA community. ‘DC’ last competed back in August 2020 at UFC 252, where he fell to Stipe Miocic in their highly anticipated rubber match. Despite ending his career with two consecutive losses, Cormier remains a tier-one Hall of Famer of the sport.

The former two-division champion has now transitioned to a life behind the commentary bench, and he’s thriving. ‘DC’ is one of the UFC’s key color commentators for the biggest pay-per-view events that take place. He’s into his role as a top broadcaster and still remains a prominent figure in the sport of MMA.
