UFC welterweight Michael Chiesa had a rather memorable exchange while performing his on-air duties for UFC Post Show on ESPN+. Chiesa, with Karyn Bryant and Anthony Smith, interviewed Jairzinho Rozenstruik, the winner of UFC Vegas 28. ‘Bigi Boy’ put Augusto Sakai to sleep with one second remaining in the first round of the heavyweight main event.
While catching up with the affable heavyweight contender out of Suriname, Chiesa hilariously put forth an offer to grapple Rozenstruik. The exchange came right after ‘Lionheart’ Smith swiftly denied wanting any part of that exercise. Michael Chiesa stipulated that the heavy-handed KO artist should make sure he refrains from throwing strikes.
I mean… what could possibly go wrong 😅😅😅 great fight @JairRozenstruik https://t.co/hWJKcMgSGo

After adding a grappling session against Chiesa on his calendar, Jairzinho Rozenstruik will look to find his way back to the title. He’s in the unfortunate position of having lost to the champion, Francis Ngannou, not too long ago. Not to mention, a loss to Ciryl Gane in his last fight means he’s shut out for the moment.

However, his electrifying ability to secure late knockouts by lulling his opponents into a false sense of security will take him far. There are two clear-cut options for Rozenstruik to face before he enters at the doorstep of a title shot. Curtis Blaydes and Alexander Volkov are both ahead of Rozenstruik in the rankings and would make for viable opponents.

Chiefly, Volkov is the name that would make the most sense given Jairzinho Rozenstruik’s credentials as a kickboxer. Volkov’s evolved striking game would pose an interesting clash on the feet. However, ‘Drago’ is matched up with Ciryl Gane leaving Jairzinho Rozenstruik to test his mat skills against the ever-dangerous Curtis ‘Razor’ Blaydes.
