‘The Count’ is one of the pioneers of the English MMA. He started training in mixed martial arts at a very young age. Bisping started competing in amateur tournaments at the age of 15 and also earned money by working odd jobs.
In April 1996, at the age of 17, the British fighter moved out of his family home to live alone, as he was earning good money. He bought a fully furnished apartment at the edge of the town. And that is where the horrific incident took place during a summer night.
In the podcast, Bisping said, “I opened the door, and I get sprayed in the face with CS gas… I am rubbing my eyes and I look and there’s a guy standing there… He is holding f**king canister of petrol, swinging petrol all over the place.”
“He’s trying to light matches… I shut the door with one hand and I have got a phone in the other… I am thinking about who could this be…Because I had a scrap on Thursday night… And I said, Butch, is that you Butch?” Bisping added.
