The loss came against Miesha Tate at UFC 196, where she would lose in the 5th round, courtesy of a rear naked choke. She would unfortunately face a losing skid after, as she would go on to lose against Valentina Shevchenko on UFC on FOX 20. The losing streak would continue after she would lose to Germaine de Randamie at UFC 208, where Holm would get another shot at UFC gold.

However, the player would bounce back with a win against Bethe Correia, where she would get another shot at the UFC title against Cris Cyborg for the UFC featherweight title. Holm would lose her fight against Cyborg but would go on to win her next fight, being set up for another shot at UFC gold against Amanda Nunes.

The “GOAT” of women’s MMA would end the fight real quickly as she would get finished by Amanda Nunes in the first round by a devastating head kick. Holm would go on to win two fights but would lose to Ketlen Vieira in 2022.

However, Sophie Mathis would put an end to the fights as Holly Holm would get stopped in the 7th round via KO/TKO in December 2012.
