Coincidences can excite UFC fans; especially when a veteran fighter like Nate Diaz is involved. Diaz won his last UFC fight against Tony Ferguson via a submission. It happens to be his first submission win after the UFC 196 Conor McGregor fight. However, a particular coincidence left fans and Joe Rogan suspecting the world is a simulation.

While the fight started slowly, it picked up pace soon. Both fighters had their moments, and the rounds looked razor-sharp close. However, in the fourth round, ‘The Stockton Slugger’ got Ferguson in a guillotine choke and forced him to tap out.
Fans were surprised to see that the time the fight was stopped was at 2:09. Diaz hails from Stockton, California, and the area code for it is 209. Thus, many compared the 2:09 time with 209.

Talking about the same incident, famous UFC color commentator, Joe Rogan took to Facebook to share his thoughts. He shared pictures of the submission and wrote, “Im starting to think that maybe we really are in a simulation Repost from @gomezcomedy • Holy sh*t”.

Many fans agreed with Rogan and expressed their thoughts in the comment section.

Diaz, who mentions Stockton regularly during his interviews, surely gave fans a lot to talk about with his last fight.

During the in-ring interview with Rogan, Diaz also spoke about how he desired to dominate another sport after leaving the UFC. Thus, fans are likely to see the Younger Diaz brother try his hands at boxing. However, an official announcement hasn’t been done.

Nate Diaz: a look at his illustrious MMA career
The Diaz brothers have a loyal fanbase. The younger sibling had a successful pro exhibition wherein he won all three fights via submissions. Thus, he was quite successful even before signing up with the UFC. However, in 2007, he won ‘The Ultimate Fighter 5 finale’ and soon started fighting for the promotion.

In the UFC, he fought some of the biggest talents. This includes Conor McGregor, Leon Edwards, Jorge Masvidal, and many more. However, it was his carefree personality and his love for his older brother, Nick Diaz, that won over a huge chunk of fans.
