Conor McGregor calls on Michael Chandler to fight Renato Moicano at UFC 300

Conor McGregor, the former two-weight champion, is adding to the uncertainty surrounding his return! While a matchup against Michael Chandler was rumored for UFC 300, McGregor is now urging Chandler to face Renato Moicano instead.

The exchange between the two took place on social media recently when Michael Chandler, mocking McGregor’s documentary on his comeback, questioned if the anticipated return would ever happen. Chandler stated on his X account, “Imagine saying it, ‘The greatest comeback in combat sports history’ and then doing a whole sham of a documentary about it, and then never coming back.”

In response, McGregor, claiming unfair treatment in his UFC comeback, vetoed the idea of a fight with Chandler. He suggested the UFC should book Chandler against Moicano for the UFC 300 main event, posting, “Chandler / Moicano now there is a 300 main event!” on his official X account.

In the co-headliner of UFC on ESPN 52, Jalin Turner secured a first-round knockout against veteran Bobby Green. Following the victory, Renato Moicano took to social media to propose a challenge to Turner, aiming for a bout between the two at UFC Austin in February.

However, expressing his discontent with Moicano’s callout, Turner addressed the situation during a post-fight news conference. He stated, “It’s all he do – call everybody out. Anybody that wins, he wants to call out. That’s annoying, bro. Stop doing that.”
