Kayla Harrison has lost only one fight in her entire MMA career so far. The two-time Olympic gold medalist judoka lost to Larissa Pacheco at the 2022 PFL World Championship. However, having trained with the American Top Team, Harrison has shown how good she really is, as she was on a 15-fight winning streak before her first and only professional defeat.

The Danvers, Massachusets resident is also a former two-time PFL champion. During her time in Donn Davis’s promotion, the former Olympic gold medalist amassed a record of 15 wins and 1 loss. But now, Kayla Harrison is starting a new journey. She is set to make her UFC debut at the monumental UFC 300 pay-per-view. She will go head-to-head against none other than the legendary Holly Holm.

The UFC CEO added another fight to the UFC 300 card in April, with Kayla Harrison taking on veteran Holly Holm in her first fight in Dana White’s promotion. The 56-year-old took to social media to make this blockbuster announcement. He said, “Here’s another announcement for UFC 300. Holly Holm… Holly will be taking on the only person in US history to win back-to-back Olympic gold medals in judo. The UFC has officially signed Kayla Harrison.”

Dana White was seemingly excited about Kayla Harrison’s debut as he hyped her up by reminding people of her Olympic achievements and her impressive MMA record. Holly Holm, on the other hand, is a seasoned veteran, and it remains to be seen how Harrison will fare against the former champion in a new environment and a new promotion.
