MVP’s Bellator earnings and payouts

Michael ‘Venom’ Page made his move to the UFC in 2024 after a significant tenure with Bellator. He was a free agent before he signed with the UFC because “…I think it’s time for me to just explore what else is out there”, as he revealed in an interview with The MMA Hour.

In a report shared online by MMA Junkie, Bellator 292’s payouts from 2023 were released by California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) executive director, Andy Foster. It’s important to note that the figures excluded any additional bonuses or sponsor payments and only included disclosed amounts. According to the report, Michael ‘Venom’ Page secured a salary of $100,000 for his fight against Goiti Yamauchi on that night.

The figure is interesting because, according to another report, for his fight against Douglas Lima at Bellator 261 in 2021, Page reportedly secured a lower salary. The numbers indicated that Page earned $70,000 approximately for this bout.

However, the report also stated that the figure is an estimation by experts based on information available about his previous contracts. And so, let’s take a look at what he received for his fights in the UFC.

When Michael ‘Venom’ Page arrived in the UFC, he immediately got a spot on the main card on his debut at UFC 299. While he impressed fans with his striking expertise against Kevin Holland and left his opponent asking questions inside the Octagon, reports claim that the 37-year-old took home an amount of around $100,000 for his fight.

Then again, Michael Page returned to action for his second fight at UFC 303 against the 15-1 star, Ian Garry. After the fight that Dana White claimed to be a draw, even though ‘Venom’ lost to a unanimous decision, the Englishman took home a handsome paycheck of around $200,000, which was perhaps the biggest payday of his entire MMA career. In fact, reports claim that Page was the fourth-highest earner on that pay-per-view.
