Reportedly, McGregor’s net worth had already crossed the $200M dollar mark when he decided to make this purchase. He first publicized this extravagant purchase with a snap on his own Instagram profile. The caption to the 23 October 2021 Instagram post from McGregor read, “Horse country”.

On 23 March 2022, ‘MMA Fighting’ reported that McGregor was detained in Ireland for unsafe driving and had his Bentley seized as well. However, it didn’t take long for him to get his vehicle returned to his possession once more.
