McGregor has been a longtime fan of the promotion and has even hinted at a possible fight under the promotion, but seems like ‘Notorious’ wants something bigger from the organization that just fights in it. The news about McGregor’s stake came after Triller (BKFC’s parent company) announced that they are acquiring AGBA, a Hong Kong-based finance company.

If we were to discuss how much of the promotion the former dual-weight champion owns, it might be a bit difficult because neither the promotion nor McGregor has revealed any numbers yet but after the deal, McGregor’s sports company will have a minority stake in the company alongside Triller who is the majority stake owner of the promotion. Meanwhile, BKFC’s president, David Feldman, seemed to be extremely happy after McGregor got the deal.

Having Conor McGregor as one of your promoters would have a huge impact on the future of BKFC because ‘Mystic Mac’ is still the biggest face of MMA in recent times. The president of BKFC, David Feldman, in a recent conversation at the event, expressed his delight and excitement about McGregor’s involvement with the promotions.

“Look, you’ve got the biggest guy in all of combat sports right now as a part owner of our company, I think it’s just going to move the needle tremendously. We’re going to do a lot of big things. We’re going to open up a lot of new markets,” said Feldman. He further emphasized that they are planning to jump into newer avenues and upcoming years are about to be good for them.

It must be noted that Conor McGregor is not the only fighter who has transitioned from being a fighter to a promoter. His contemporaries Khabib Nurmagomedov and Nate Diaz are also into this business. Nurmagomedov’s ‘Eagle Fighting Championship’ and Diaz’s ‘Real Fight Inc.’ are already established, however they are not as big as BKFC.
