The UFC has made it official that the fight between Don Madge and Guram Kutateladze is canceled. The lightweight bout was scheduled for UFC Fight Night: Makhachev vs. Moises on July 17. This is the second time that the bout has been scrapped because of an injury to Kutateladze.

Previously the duo was scheduled for a fight at the UFC Fight Night on March 13. But the fight got scrapped as ‘Georgian Viking’ suffered a torn left meniscus which required immediate surgery on his knee. As of now, Don Madge wants to stay on the card, therefore UFC is trying to get him a new opponent.

‘Magic Man’ will look to continue his magic against a new opponent on July 17. As Don Madge does not appear in the top 15 of the UFC lightweight rankings, the promotion will try to search for an unranked opponent.

A look at UFC Fight Night: Makhachev vs. Moises

Islam Makhachev and Thiago Moises will share the spotlight to battle in a lightweight contest. This is a very important fight for both the fighters as a win here will improve their ranking and inch them closer to their first title shot.

Islam Makhachev, on a whopping seven-fight win streak, sits on the ninth spot in the rankings. A win over the fourteenth ranked Moises will hand him his eighth win in a row.
