Serghei Spivac is unsure about the reason behind Derrick Lewis withdrawing from the initial fight

Serghei Spivak spoke to the media at UFC Vegas 68 media day and claims that he has heard multiple versions of the reason behind Lewis‘s withdrawal from their initial fight late last year. Hence, he isn’t sure about what the truth is. Spivac said, “(I found out the fight was canceled) about 10 minutes before I was going to leave my hotel room.”

He added, “There’s a lot of things that I was told, but he’s the only one that knows the truth, so I didn’t bother things about that.”

The ‘Polar Bear’ also mentioned that he was totally emotionless after hearing the news about his fight being canceled. However, Spivac did mention that he wished Derrick Lewis well and, career-wise, he hoped to progress. However, the Moldovan fighter doesn’t seem to care too much about what transpired in November 2022. Spivac also talked about his happiness about UFC rebooking the match and thanked them for the opportunity to fight Derrick Lewis.
