UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling was trending recently as his rematch with interim champion Petr Yan got rescheduled for UFC 273 in April.
However, ‘Funk Master’ had something to say about the first UFC event of the year as well. UFC Vegas 46 concluded with Calvin Kattar showcasing his dominance in the octagon against Georgian fighter Giga Chikadze. One of the most memorable moments in the match was when ‘Ninja’ slipped on the mat while trying to kick Kattar.
Reporters approached the UFC President Dana White about the matter as he was sitting for the post fight presser of the event, but to no luck, as the head honcho dismissed the mat slip concern with a big ‘NO’.

It’s absurd how much slipping and losing position can effect fights. Kattar looked beast all fight so nothing taken from him. But this slipping issue is trashhhh! “
Though Sterling was all over the place on the mat issue, he gave full credits to ‘The Boston Finisher’ for his win over ‘Ninja’ Giga Chikadze.
