Chael Sonnen might not be the UFC’s most successful fighter, but he has surely etched his name in the MMA World through his silver tongue. The former UFC fighter is considered the greatest trash talker in the promotion’s history, wholly because of his rhetorics off the Octagon.

Chael Sonnen’s legendary speech
It started in 2011 when Sonnen made some inappropriate comments on Silva’s home country-Brazil. Silva had a fight scheduled with Chris Leben and called out the Bad Guy next.

Replying to Silva’s challenge, Sonnen made this epic speech that still rings clear in every UFC fan’s ear. He said, “Wanderlei, you are an immigrant from Brazil, I am a gangster from America. Are you sure you wanna play that game with me?”

He then proceeded to further threaten Silva with outrageous actions. “Listen Wanderlei, I will do a home invasion on you. I will cut the power to your house and the next thing you’ll hear is me climbing up your stairs in a pair of night-vision goggles I bought in the back of Soldier of Fortune magazine.”
“I’ll pick the lock to the master room door, take a picture of you in bed with the Nogueira brothers working on your ‘Jiu-Jitsu’. I’ll take said quote unquote photograph, post it at www.dorksfrombrazil.com, password – not required, username – not required. That, Wanderlei, is how you threaten someone. Dummy.”

With the moniker “The Axe Murderer”, it is pretty self-explanatory that Wanderlei was one of the most terrifying fighters to partake in the promotion. But it did not intimidate Sonnen.
Chael Sonnen And Wanderlei Silva’s legendary rivalry
Ever since Sonnen (29-15-1) made his debut in Mixed Martial Arts, the fighter has strived to reach the top. He has fought and defeated exceptional fighters such as Michael Bisping among others.

With Silva (35-13-1) in the fold, Sonnen found the perfect opportunity to make himself a household name. Their rivalry didn’t just end there as the duo continued it with UFC’s The Ultimate Fighter: 3 Brazil as coaches of two different factions.
At TUF:3, the duo even broke out into a scuffle as Chael Sonnen pushed Silva during a conversation, and then it turned into a brawl.

However, the duo finally settled their difference at Bellator 180, where Sonnen dominated the majority of the rounds and won through unanimous decision.
