‘I Am Definitely Partially Delusional’- Jake Paul Makes an Absurd Statement Ahead of His Bout Against Tyron Woodley

Jake Paul is all set to face Tyron Woodley on August 29, 2021. This will be Paul’s 4th professional boxing fight, having won his previous 3 encounters. In his last fight, Paul faced former UFC fighter and wrestling legend Ben Askren.’The Problem Child’ defeated Askren with a first-round TKO.

After this fight, many people started recognizing Paul as a legitimate combat sports athlete and were eager to watch his next encounter. Therefore, since the fight between Paul and Woodley has been announced, people have been constantly talking about the same. Paul and especially Woodley have competed in many top-level fights.

Therefore, during a recent interview, Paul was asked whether one should be a bit delusional to compete in top-level combat sports. Paul replied, “Yeah No, you are 100% right. And I think I am definitely partially delusional, with how confident I am in my ability. Confidence is different from you know underestimating somebody. I saw that with Ben Askren; he underestimated me; he came in and wasn’t prepared.”

“By the way, show me who your friends are and I’ll show you who you are. So, Ben Askren, and Tyron Woodley are hanging out they are buddies. If Ben’s an idiot, Tyron’s an idiot. That’s the way I look at it.”

Paul clearly believes that like his friend ‘Funky’, Woodley will also lose to him. Therefore, the fighter seems very confident and seems to believe he will defeat the former UFC champion.

What to expect from the fight between Tyron Woodley and Jake Paul?

While many people did not consider Jake Paul as a true fighter. His last encounter with Askren changed everyone’s perspective. Many people have now taken Paul seriously and consider him a good boxer.

However, Woodley is a much greater striker than Askren and will look to punch through Paul. While it remains to be seen which of these fighters come out on top. One thing is sure, that whenever these two fighters compete, it is going to be a treat for all combat sports fans.
