Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covingtons story was one of the major highlights of the last year. Over the course of a couple of years, the friends became enemies. The rivalry reached a dark turn during UFC 272 and after that. The event saw Covington convincingly defeat Masvidal via decision. But after the event, Masvidal allegedly assaulted ‘Chaos’ in Miami, Florida. Fans have recently seen footage featuring the incident released by the Miami Beach Police Department and gave their honest opinion. The video was shot at the place of the alleged assault and witnesses can be seen talking to the video in the video.

One witness said in the video, “These are two fighters of the UFC. They had a fight two weeks ago. He (Covington) won the fight. The other fighter came over here when he saw him and I saw him punch him.”

Also, Covington‘s face was blurred due to the rights provided to the victim by the state of Florida. The police could be seen talking to Covington and some of the witnesses in the video.

While most fans have taken their favorite fighter’s side, some have spoken what they believe is the truth. One fan commented on the video, “Masvidal couldn’t get him in a fair and sanctioned 25 minute fight and his ego couldn’t handle it”. The fan bashed Masvidal for his action.

Moreover, another fan thrashed ‘Gamebred’ in the comments section, “George [Jorge Masvidal] reacting to words with physical violence and jumping the guy with a crew when he wasn’t expecting a fight makes him the undisputed Ultimate Fighting Chump”. 

Similarly, another fan said, “Yes!! Been waiting for this!!! Jorge Masvidal is a chump!”

Masvidal also lost the respect of some of his fans after his antics. They said, “I am no longer a Jorge fan. I have lost all respect for him as a warrior.”

While some fans also trolled Covington after the incident’s video was released. They said, All that tough talk just to get slapped up and snitch.. i thought colby ran Miami what happened?”

Another social media user precisely shared his thoughts on the incident. They said, “Colby doesn’t want to get in legal problems, he shouldn’t of talked about his kids that is off limits. I mean Masvidal had his chances in the cage and he couldn’t do it. This wasn’t a good look for either of them”.

Similarly, another fan added, “Should you jump a dude? No. Should you talk s**t about a guy’s family problems at work? Also no. ETAH”

Colby Covington’s statements didn’t go well with Masvidal

‘Chaos’ explained to the police why Masvidal might have attacked him. He said, said, “Hey, you’re a deadbeat dad. You don’t talk to your kids.” Masvidal also responded with similar lines, “You shouldn’t have f*cking talked about my kids..”
