On Saturday night, the former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley suffered the most humiliating defeat of his career. ‘The Chosen One’ took on YouTuber Jake Paul on his second outing in the boxing arena. However, the retired MMA legend took a perfect right hand to the face and fell flat on the mat in the sixth round of the bout. Notably, he faced the YouTuber in his boxing debut as well, but he suffered the same fate previously as well.

As every action demands a reaction, many of his MMA colleagues reacted to the former champion’s loss. Some, like Justin Gaethje, requested ‘The Chosen One’ to shut Paul’s mouth before the bout.

Whereas others like ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ trolled him after his defeat. Former rival Kamaru Usman took to Twitter to take a dig at Woodley’s loss.

He Tweeted, “I am not responsible for any of this!!!”

Usman wrote this because some of Woodley’s fans have blamed him for causing his downfall. As Woodley could not win any match across all formats of combat after his unsuccessful title defense against Usman. The duo fought back in 2019 at UFC 235: Jones vs. Smith, which was Usman’s first title shot. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ dominated the match to take the welterweight strap home.

Tyron Woodley laments his loss

After his loss to Jake Paul, the MMA legend decided to send an emotional message to his fans from the post-fight interview podium. He was beaten up and frustrated by his loss. ‘The Chosen One’ analyzed his moves and reflected on his choices.
