‘I Am the Champion’- Brandon Moreno Ready to Fight Henry Cejudo

Brandon Moreno became the UFC flyweight champion at UFC 263 as ‘The Assassin Baby’ submitted Deiveson Figueiredo in their rematch. The duo previously fought to a draw at UFC 256, but this time Moreno left no doubts and got crowned the new flyweight champion of the world.

Fans have already started speculating what’s next for Moreno and who could the Mexican face in the first defense of his title. The name Henry Cejudo has popped up on the scene as well. The former two-division champion happens to be a former training partner of Moreno. But, ‘The Assassin Baby’ is open to welcome ‘The Messenger’ back to the Octagon.

Man definitely. Yes. It’s a possibility. Obviously. He’s retired. He’s almost a father. He’s wanna marriage with his girlfriend. It’s a nice life is a nice life. He’s talking about the fight against Volkanovski. He’s talking about the fight against Petr Yan he wanted to fight against Figueiredo. So you know, you never know what’s happened in the future. Man, I am the champion. And I need to fight with the guy who a UFC say so. I don’t know. You never know,” said Moreno.

Moreno, who got cut from the UFC in 2018, made an incredible comeback in his career. Instead of giving up, he made a stronger return and eventually became a UFC champion.

The Assassin Baby‘ was all praise for Cejudo as he said ‘Triple-C‘ was kind of a mentor for him. They helped each other train. Cejudo also helped him with money during his tough times and that enabled him to train properly. Moreno remembers those deeds and said he is grateful for those acts.

However, if the UFC books them to fight each other, that won’t stop them from clashing inside the Octagon. At the end of the day, they are competitors and a fight between the duo is something fans would certainly cherish.
