Luke Rockhold is a veteran in the sport of Mixed Martial Arts. However, the former UFC Middleweight champion has suffered a poor run of form, in the octagon in his last few fights suffering two knockouts. Since then, Rockhold has spent time away from the octagon. Recently. in an interview, he shared his thoughts on the recovery of his chin ahead of his rumored fight against Paulo Costa.

In an interview with Daniel Cormier, the former UFC Middleweight champion said, “I think it is a little bit of everything, little bit of everything…I have been hit lately, and I know I can take a shot still…I feel good.”
He further added, “I mean I did, yes I lost to knockouts, Bisping I think was more of a perfect spot, perfect time kind of thing...David Branch, did i get hurt? I don’t think so, I got hit with big shots too. Yoel Romero, okay Yoel Romero, one of the hardest hitting guys in the history of the sport, Jan Blachowicz, one of the hardest hitting guys in the sport.”
“I still know I can take a shot. And I know I can fight better than I have fought in the past. I am willing to put it on the line…This is my last opportunity to chase my dreams. So this is what I love the most and I found the love back for, So I am willing to risk it all.”

It is good to see a veteran MMA Fighter like Luke Rockhold in a high spirit ahead of his upcoming fight. The former UFC Middleweight Champion has returned to his origins to prepare for his fight against Paulo Costa.
Luke Rockhold has returned to training at AKA
For his upcoming fight against Middleweight contender Paulo Costa, Luke Rockhold has gone back to training at the American Kickboxing academy. The AKA has played host to fighters such as Daniel Cormier, Khabib Nurmagomedov, etc.

The fighter has had brief training stints at RVCA and Sanford MMA. However, Rockhold seems very excited to return to AKA now. He posted images of him training at AKA with a caption saying, “Good be back @americankickboxingacademy with my gangsters“.
In this post by Rockhold, fans can see the former Middleweight champion grapple with Khabib Nurmagomedov. This experience is bound to help Rockhold in his upcoming fight.
