Former two-division UFC champion, Conor McGregor, recently appeared on the red carpet of VMAs. Well, all wasn’t quite smooth out there as ‘The Notorious’ got into a clash with the famous rapper, Machine Gun Kelly. McGregor appeared to have thrown a drink at MGK too.

Although it’s still not quite clear what started the altercation, the duo had to be separated by security. Yet another former UFC double champion, Daniel Cormier, recently reacted to the incident in the DC & RC show. DC said he actually didn’t know too well who MGK is.

Has Conor McGregor lost control of the gimmick? Is he now living the character that’s getting the best of him?” DC added further.

MGK appeared at the event with his megastar girlfriend, Megan Fox. However, a clash with McGregor was something that people expected least from the duo.

McGregor, who has always been a unique character, is currently recovering from the freak leg break he suffered at his UFC 264 clash against Dustin Poirier.

McGregor has since implied that it was nothing personal between him and MGK. He has also said that although he knows who Megan Fox is as she has attended many UFC events; he didn’t know who MGK actually was.

If Megan Fox and MGK indeed accept McGregor‘s invitation and attend his next clash inside the Octagon remains to be seen. Also, it should be quite a while before McGregor is actually back to fighting in the UFC. Hence, it will only be in late 2022 that the focus will center on this invitation.
