Conor McGregor had long been absent, leaving a palpable void within the UFC arena. However, his triumphant resurgence occurred when he chose to undertake the role of mentor for his team during the electrifying TUF Season 31, pitted against the formidable Michael Chandler. McGregor’s comeback was initiated by the customary TUF rule that requires coaches to eventually fight each other. Nevertheless, McGregor was stopped by USADA from entering the arena, and since then, he has remained sidelined.

McGregor in his quest to return to the octagon has turned everything upside down. Originally slated to face Michael Chandler in UFC 296, McGregor was however sidelined by Dana White when he declared the Colby Covington vs. Leon Edwards card. With nothing in hand, the Irishman had to undergo the USADA pool test and have to wait for six months for his comeback.

The former UFC fighter and Legend Chael Sonnen recently gave his two-piece on Mystic Mac’s comeback. Sonnen previously admired McGregor for his down-to-earth and laid-back nature regarding his comeback. However, Sonnen has expressed his fair share of doubts regarding McGregor’s return.

Sonnen in his latest escapade took to his YouTube channel to express his opinion of McGregor’s Comeback. While in conversation about the weight class for the Chandler vs. McGregor fight Sonnen expressed his skepticism for the fight. He added, “I can’t imagine that Connor ever fights again I’m very confident in telling you and I could be wrong on that one like I’m not overly bullish I don’t think Conor is going to fight again I’m not overly bullish I 100% confident in telling you he’ll never fight at 155 again.”

In one of his previous videos, Chael Sonnen Stated that he has been keeping a close eye on Conor McGregor since his announcement of a comeback. Sonnen added that McGregor has been making relentless efforts to stage a successful comeback and this can be marked by a noticeable change in his demeanor. He added that McGregor approached his comeback in a rather quieter and self-reflective manner.

In that Video, he added  “It was a very humble comment from a guy who goes out of his way to make sure he never makes humble comments. I loved it because if you’re a true competitor if you really have to view yourself that way, you have to. If you want to stay real and you want to be the king marketer, you can’t let the public know you view yourself this way. So it was his major push and pull. I liked it. I thought it was refreshing. I like when Conor breaks character every now and then.”
