‘I Deserve Some Respect Too’- Khabib Nurmagomedov After a Fan Tried to Grab Him On Stage in London

UFC megastar Khabib Nurmagomedov appeared at a sitdown conference in London, England, and addressed an audience about his MMA career. ‘The Eagle’ fielded questions from the audience and had some insightful sentiments regarding his stint in the UFC. However, in the final moments of the conference, a fan rushed the stage aggressively right in Khabib Nurmagomedov’s direction.

Nurmagomedov expectedly kept a cool head and quickly de-escalated the situation by warning the fan to stay back. Security was quick to intervene and escorted the fan away from the stage.

In the moments that followed, Nurmagomedov addressed the crowd at large and left the crowd with a positive message.
‘Guys I come from other part of world to see you guys and I think I deserve some respect too, you know. Thank you… I feel around the world, big big support from my people who have same views as I have and I really believe everyone here have all same views. And please, take care of your kids, this is our future.”

Khabib Nurmagomedov: Consummate professional
Nurmagomedov has built a loyal fanbase over the years by virtue of the way he’s carried himself inside and outside the cage. Regardless of the circumstance, the Russian mauler maintains a cool head and is well known for his professionalism.

Moreover, his unblemished 29-0 record is one that has mystified both casual and hardcore fans throughout the MMA community. Every time he stepped into the cage, Nurmagomedov commanded a sense of respect from his peers and the MMA community as a whole.
To this day, fight fans have held out the hope that Khabib Nurmagomedov will return to active competition and chase 30-0. His potential bout against Georges St-Pierre has been a talking point for a long time. However, it seems as though that ship has sailed given where both men are in their lives.
All in all, Nurmagomedov’s words of positivity will certainly resonate with MMA fans all over. He continues to be an icon within the sport well past his formal retirement from active competition.
