Only two fighters in the UFC have over 7 hours of octagon time under their name. One of them is Max Holloway (24-7 MMA, 20-7 UFC), who has spent seven hours and 15 minutes inside the octagon. Making his 28th appearance, Holloway is all set to fight with Chan Sung Jung (17-7 MMA, 7-4 UFC), popularly known as ‘The Korean Zombie.’

Holloway recently joined the UFC Fight Night Preview Show in Singapore ahead of his main event fight vs. The Korean Zombie and talked about his return to Singapore. Holloway last fought in Singapore in 2014 against Will Chope, whom he defeated in a second-round KO (punches). With more than a decade of experience in the octagon, Holloway also talked about how he envisions his fight against The Korean Zombie – and he spilled some straight facts!

Holloway also talked about his last appearance in Singapore, in which the number one-ranked featherweight fighter finished his opponent and won a bonus. The Hawaiian fighter, reminiscing his last appearance in this part of the world, said, “Last time I got a finish and a bonus, and yeah, yeah, hopefully, we can repeat, run that right back, and, uh, yeah… finish sounds nice.” Holloway, who last won via finish in 2018 against Brian Ortega, said, “I haven’t gotten one of those in a while, so I think I’ll do for one.

This fight is very important for the featherweight division since Holloway holds a win over all but one fighter in the top five. The one fighter he hasn’t fought in the top 5 is the rising prospect, Ilia Topuria, who last finished Josh Emmett. So, lodging a win over The Korean Zombie puts Max in title contention again.

For The Korean Zombie, a win over the number one-ranked featherweight fighter will put him ahead in the rankings. He last fought the featherweight champion, Alexander Volkanovski, and lost in the fourth round. Further, the 36-year-old fighter recently revealed his retirement plan and highlighted that it all depends on his performance this Saturday.

Since 2014, Max Holloway has only lost to 2 fighters. One is Dustin Poirier at UFC 236, and the other fighter is featherweight champion Volkanovski, whom Holloway has lost thrice at UFC 245, UFC 251, and UFC 276.
