One of the most well-known rivalries in the history of the UFC is the one between Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones. The duo also had one of the most infamous stare-downs, which led to an all-out brawl. The history of this feud between ‘DC’ and ‘Bones’ can be dated back to 2010. A majority of fans would also agree that these two don’t actually like each other.

But the UFC thought the other way around. Despite having a thorough knowledge of the beef between ‘DC’ and ‘Bones’, the UFC still went on to place Jon Jones on the top of Daniel Cormier’s all-time best list of fighters.

The UFC appeared to mock Daniel Cormier

This news was publicized by the MMA covering Instagram page, Full Combat. They put out a post stating, “You can see him get visibly get mad”. It consisted of a snap and a video of Cormier lashing out at the UFC putting Jon Jones on the top of his top five list.

The snap also displayed a visibly annoyed Daniel Cormier along with a list of his, Top 5 Tri-State Fighters. The name of Jon Jones shone at the top of ‘DC’s’ top 5 tri-state fighters.

The UFC bewildered a lot of fans with the selection of this list. In the video of the post, Cormier also went on to disagree with the list which showcased Jon Jones at the top of his choice fighters. As the list came up, he stated with surprise, “I didn’t put Jones in that”.

Cormier was probably at a podcast while this happened. The others present also shouted out in amazement, while Cormier could also be seen uttering the f-word to himself.

The Cormier and Jones feud began on their first meeting

The dramatic rivalry between the duo was one of the most iconic feuds in UFC history. It all started back in 2010 when Jon Jones first met Cormier backstage at UFC 121. Jones reportedly had stated to Cormier, “I bet you that I could take you down.”

Cormier, an Olympic Freestyle wrestler, didn’t appreciate ‘Bones’ way of approach at all. Talking about this conversation, he later stated, “How do you break the ice by insulting someone?’ That’s the only problem I had”.

In time, this went on to become one of the most coveted rivalries of the UFC. But the UFC probably ignored all of this bitterness between the two while placing ‘Bones’ on the top of ‘DC’s’ top five list.
