Earlier, the Swedish fighter shared the same manager as the former lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. Later, ‘Borz’ left the management team. And in an Instagram live Q&A session, the 27-year-old claimed to smash the Dagestan native. This led to an altercation between the team and Chimaev. However, ‘The Eagle’ never responded to the claims.

Recently, ‘Borz’ opened up about his situation with the former UFC champion. Ahead of his much-anticipated return to fighting, Chimaev appeared in an interview with BT Sport. He completely denied the claim of any altercations with Nurmagomedov and blamed the media for it.

I don’t know this guy. He don’t know me and everything is normal. He is Muslim. I am Muslim, we brothers. And you have some problem. Welcome.”
