During an older episode on Rogan’s podcast, the racer spoke about female drivers in the sport. She said, “They don’t want to get passed by a girl and you know what? I don’t either. Is that weird?”

“I really don’t. I mean, I’ve driven, I’ve raced with girls and I don’t, I don’t like it.”

Speaking about what goes on in her head when another female racer passes her, Patrick said, “I’m like, ‘can’t believe my car isn’t faster right now. … So it happens with guys too but you know, I don’t know, it’s just a cultural norm that girls aren’t good in a lot you know, aren’t very good and that they somewhat don’t belong. I get like the little bit of animosity at first, but I would have thought that people would have got used to it a little bit more than they did.”

Joe Rogan clarified whether she meant that she herself held the ‘cultural animosity’ and Patrick agreed. She went on to say that it was because it is something she is ‘not used’ to. However, she also said that she does not have the same cultural animosity toward herself.
