“I Don’t Think the World Is Ready” – Jon Jones Says His Heavyweight Fights Are Going to Be Unique

Legendary UFC fighter Jon Jones gave up his light heavyweight belt to move up to the heavyweight division. His last fight was against Dominick Reyes in February 2020. He hasn’t fought since then.

Jones is busy preparing himself for the heavyweight division. While he still does not have an upcoming fight, he surely has to be prepared for the challenges that come with moving to a new division.

A fan on Twitter asked Jones his thoughts on Gane as a prospective future opponent. ‘Bones’ has some good things to say about the fellow UFC fighter. Jones wrote, “I think he’s pretty unique for a heavyweight, I don’t think the world is ready for how unique I’m going to be. I believe my light heavyweight experience will be the biggest difference in my future fights.”

Many consider Jones to be the G.O.A.T. He has an impressive MMA record of 26 wins and just 1 loss. What is more astonishing about his career is the number of times he has successfully defended his light heavyweight title. After 14 successful title defenses, one can say that he had completely dominated the division for a long time.
