Sean Strickland blasts the judges for biased judgment

You know things are going to be bloody when Sean Strickland is just around the corner to fight you and that’s exactly what Paulo Costa expected. Their fight started with both the fighters throwing their blazing guns at each other. However, the five-rounder match saw a well-prepared Strickland as he was more technical in his approach against the Brazilian.

In the end, it was Strickland who got the victory but seems like he was not happy with it. While having a conversation with the media, the former champ called out the judges for a biased split decision victory, “You know, man, the judges are crazy guys. I don’t think they watch fights. I don’t think they know fighting. So, you never know. If you leave it in the hands of the judges, it’s, you know, only the gods know.” said Strickland via ESPN MMA. The former middleweight champion is not the only one who was concerned about the faulty judging even UFC supremo Dana White was disgusted by it

Dana White blasts the judges for faulty decision

This is not the first time when the judges have stirred controversy for Dana White and the promotion. The UFC supremo was furious when he witnessed the split decision victory by Sean Strickland. It was an unexpected and unfortunate decision by UFC judge Dave Tirelli over dissenting score. Tirelli was one of the judge who have an edge to Costa over Strickland. When asked about his opinion on the split decision victory at the UFC 302 presser, Dana White went unfiltered in his approach against the Tirelli.

“I think that was insane. That guy should never ref in a big fight again. They should kick him back down to the minor leagues and let him work on his judging.“It’s unbelievable. I mean, how anybody who isn’t an absolute lunatic could call that fight a split decision, I don’t even know what to say to that. It’s insane. That guy shouldn’t be judging big fights,” said Dana White.

The decision has caught the attention of the entire MMA community who were shocked by Tirelli’s judgement. After Dana White’s opinion, multiple MMA pundits came forward to condemn the decision.Well, do you think UFC would take better judges in future? State your thoughts in the comments below.
