Fans shut down Miesha Tate on her comments about retirement
Miesha Tate returned to the cage in July 2021 and stunned everyone when she won her match in her comeback. She defeated Marion Reneau in the third round via TKO and displayed great tenacity and skill. A few months later, she took on Ketlen Vieira but lost. In 2022, “Cupcake” switched to the flyweight division and fought Lauren Murphy but lost her second straight bout. Murphy proved to be too strong for the 37-year-old and dominated the fight.
Now, Tate is looking to make a name for herself in the division again and will face Julia Avila. Although ‘Cupcake’ seems confident about her preparations, online fans don’t agree with her when she said: ‘Lot of people will again look at my record and say ahh she lost her last two and should retire. I hear these words and just want to throw it to anybody, never to quit on themselves based on what other people say.”
She continued, “Never too early like really give it your all so that’s what I am here to do. I don’t know if that looks like any specific thing. It’s just it feels right to be here right now. It feels like right to be here right now. It feels right.‘ They rushed to voice their opinion after MMA Junkie posted a Instagram video of Tate and her retirement plans.

Tate was once a powerhouse and a bantamweight champion after she defeated Holly Holm. However, the 37-year-old has been inactive and only fought twice in the last two years.
