Khamzat Chimaev, ever since his debut in the UFC, has garnered global attention with his dominant performances inside the cage. He is a rising prospect in UFC and is on the verge of becoming a superstar, like Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather, in their respective sport. However, ‘Borz’ doesn’t want any of it.

‘Lone Wolf’ in just four UFC fights has done enough to call for a title shot. However, he wasn’t even in the top-15 of the division until his fourth fight. But now Chimaev holds the number eleven position on the welterweight roster and will soon fight a contender from the top-5 of the division.
Although ‘Borz’ has much more to achieve in the sport, many believe he has the potential to become the next big thing in the promotion, given his recent run. However, this isn’t the first thought in his mind, as his only goal is to become the champion in the UFC and not a superstar.

“That’s all, like I don’t need, like be superstar, like Floyd Mayweather, like McGregor, like these guys. If it happens, it will be good. Like I can help more people with more money. But for me, now I want to be champion. It’s number one for me.” Chimaev concluded.
UFC 273 is a big test for Khamzat Chimaev
Khamzat Chimaev is carrying a lot of hype around himself. The Russian-born hails an undefeated record of 10-0 under his name and has finished all of his opponents in the UFC, three in the first round.

However, his next opponent, the number two welterweight contender Gilbert Burns, is one of the best wrestlers in the division. He is a world-class jiujitsu artist and also possesses immense power in his hands. Moreover, ‘Durinho’ has only lost once in his last eight outings.

Hence, the Brazilian will be a real test for Chimaev. However, the latter is very confident about defeating him. If ‘Borz’ defeats Burns, there will be no doubt left and the Russian-born might get what he wants. That is a title fight.
