“I Drilled His Head Off the Floor Like a Basketball” – Conor McGregor Is Not Impressed With Dustin Poirier’s KO Win in the Rematch

It seems like Conor McGregor has finally unleashed his inner animal, who just knows to bury his opponents with his words. He is going after Dustin Poirier in every statement he makes.

McGregor and Poirier will fight for the third time on 10 July at the T-Mobile Arena. The two athletes will look to finish each other off, get the ultimate victory, and put an end to this rivalry.

In a recent interview with Nick Walshaw, ‘The Irishman’ just mocked the living out of ‘The Diamond‘. He even claimed that Poirier’s victory in their second bout was just luck.

Walshaw then asked McGregor why is he not talking much ahead of this trilogy fight as he used to before all the big fights. ‘The Notorious’ replied, “Do you want me to tell you that I’m gonna kill him? He’s going out on a stretcher, into a box. Do you want me to tell you that?”

In the same interview, Nick asked him whether he still thinks about the defeat he faced at the hands of Poirier in the second fight, which was almost six months ago. ‘The Notorious’ replied that the TKO (Technical Knockout) hit felt more like a switch, and he was back up again, and then took some shots at Dustin.

He’s [Dustin Poirier] the one who jumped up and said ‘I don’t like this anymore’ after he won… Because he didn’t like the smacks he got. He got the worst smacks. He just immobilized the leg, and I was up against the fence with no leg to stand on.”

“First fight, I drilled his head off the floor like a basketball. Second fight, I electrocuted him. Third fight, he’s dead,” McGregor said to conclude the question.

It’s only a matter of hours now before we witness the two gifted athletes battling it out inside the octagon. Eventually, one of them will have their last laugh at the end of the fight.
