He defeated Till in the third round of the fight at UFC Fight Night. After his victory, the 37-year-old wants more, and he has names for his next fight.
In the post-fight interview, Brunson said, “Man, I gave Costa so many opportunities. Me and Costa were supposed to fight like this fight. I called for him. That’s the guy number two in the division, so if I beat him, where does that put me exactly next. I could have even jumped Whittaker. I beat number two; that guy he didn’t sign the contract so you know I am left with Till.”

“So Cannonier. I had no beef with Cannonier here, you know. Izzy beat me I was ringing high to him about four or five years ago. No excuses, but you know I have been working every year, every day, for this opportunity to get back to this spot, you know. And I strung together some fights. I wouldn’t mind sitting.”

He added, “I can wait for the next match, or so you know. Like I said, I’m not the youngest guy in the division. And I have been working really hard for this moment and like I said, I asked for Costa who is number two like all this stuff was planned, you know. To go out there and beat the highest guy, so there was no denying. I wanna a firefight-winning streak all the guys above lost. So yeah, I definitely wanna rewrite the fight.”
