Khabib Nurmagomedov is inarguably one of the best fighters to step foot inside the octagon. The Dagestani fighter has demolished every single opponent the UFC has thrown at him and holds an incredible record of 29 wins with no losses. Nurmagomedov announced his retirement after his last fight at UFC 254 because he didn’t want to compete following his father’s death.

During his heyday, ‘The Eagle’ took the world by storm. He beat many outstanding fighters in the UFC, including fighters like Conor McGregor, Dustin Poirier, and Justin Gaethje. Nurmagomedov was also an undisputed UFC lightweight champion and was one of the most dominating champions of his era.

‘The Eagle’ used to completely overpower his opponents, displaying some of the most lethal wrestling skills ever seen by fight fans. During his prime, the fighter amassed a sizable fan base, one of which was the rapper and commentator, Snoop Dogg.

Khabib’s dominance blew Snoop Dogg away when he commentated at UFC 205, where Khabib fought Michael Johnson. Like Nurmagomedov in the octagon, Snoop Dogg’s commentary game is unrivaled. He is without a doubt one of the funniest commentators to be on UFC.

Snoop Dogg started off his career as a sports analyst and commentator at the UFC itself. He recently appeared on a podcast with the UFC commentator Joe Rogan. On the podcast, he said, “They don’t know I got my start at a show called contender, which was a Dana White show… They don’t understand that I got my beginnings (as a sports analyst) from the UFC World. Y’all blessed me.”

What had Khabib Nurmagomedov been up to post his retirement 

Even though he is retired, Khabib Nurmagomedov is still one of the biggest names in the promotion. Post his retirement, Khabib has ventured into the world of entrepreneurship since his retirement and has been quite successful in his endeavors.

Some of the businesses he started are his own MMA gym in Russia, The Seedorf Khabib Performance Club. He also has his own water company, and a mobile cell phone network company named Eagle Mobile.

Apart from entrepreneurship, ‘The Eagle’ has stepped into his father’s shoes as a coach for his teammates. Islam Makhachev was coached by Khabib for his bout against Dan Hooker, and he put on a signature Khabib performance.
