UFC fighter Kevin Holland recently spoke about an old incident that took place between him and legendary fighter Nick Diaz years ago. In a recent interview with Helen Yee, he spoke about the time when the older Diaz brother tried to slap him.
Fans last saw ‘Trailblazer’ in the octagon against Kyle Daukaus. But, the fight got ended in a ‘no contest’ because of an illegal headbutt. However, Holland has been vocal about his desire to fight Nick Diaz. He has called out Diaz. He also announced that he intends to compete in the welterweight division once again and so a fight against Diaz would be interesting.

Speaking about the past incident when Diaz tried to slap him, the fighter said, “It’s funny because my contender fight, it was like me and Nick Diaz were wearing the same shirt. So I guess he was mad that we were wearing the same shirt, and he tried to slap me. So it’s a funny situation there so.”
Despite Diaz trying to slap him, Holland called him the GOAT several times while speaking about him. He also said that any GOAT who is looking ahead for a retirement fight should approach him, as he is more than willing to step in the octagon.
This incident took place back in 2018, during his stint at Dana White’s Contender Series. However, the 29-year-old fighter does not seem to harbor any ill feelings towards Diaz and is, in fact, open to fighting him in the future.

Holland competed at the welterweight division before moving to middleweight. However, his return to the welterweight can be a good move after his back-to-back losses against Derek Brunson and Marvin Vettori. He believes he will fare extremely well at the 170 pounds division.
The fighter also revealed that he hopes to fight in February, but that may or may not happen. It would be exciting to see whom he faces in his next fight.
