‘The Boston Finisher’ is ranked number 5 and is coming off a tough loss against Max Holloway. He will have something to prove in this fight and ‘Ninja’ is aware of that. He expects a motivated opponent but also plans to thwart his plans.

In a recent interview, he said, “You surely remember, Calvin Kattar had a very difficult last fight. His failure was followed by a very big reaction. I think he is really troubled with that, and that he truly is, so he rested for a year, regained his form well, and I think he will be greatly motivated. In my opinion, he is a very strong athlete.”

“I have never faced such a strong fighter, even though Edson Barboza and Cub Swanson are quite big names in our sport. Now, Calvin is probably at the peak of his form and has a lot to prove. I think he will start the fight with strong hands and pressing and try to take me down as he has a wrestling background. However, I plan to thwart his plans prematurely. I have already given him my tickets for Gigashow.”
