The famed podcast Joe Rogan had a weird incident in New York City. The longtime UFC commentator talked about it on his Spotify podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, episode #1836, with guest Ryan Holiday, a renowned author.

The 54-year-old, New Jersey-born Rogan moved multiple times in his childhood and struggling days. The veteran UFC announcer moved to New York City in 1990 when his comedy gig was getting some attention.

The millionaire podcast host talked about some of his New York City-based friends being unhealthy. In addition, he shared a horrifying incident that happened to him in the Empire State.

Rogan, talking about people of ‘NYC’, said, “I don’t need to hear people yelling at each other and honking horns.”

Thereafter, the JRE host revealed an incident that shook him.

“We were there at 3’o clock in the morning getting falafels and I heard gunshots, I was like, this is great. This is great. Bang, bang, bang, like what the f*** are we doing man? Let’s get out of here,” the standup comedian said.

The Austin resident also pointed out the crowded state of New York City. He compared it with a village and offered how the value of people in small communities is much more compared to a populous place like ‘The City’.

Rogan said, “In New York City, there’s too many people. So, the value of people diminishes to the point where people become a liability instead of being an asset.”

The beloved podcast host currently lives in Austin, Texas, in his $14.4 million worth mansion.

The Joe Rogan Experience host moved to Texas in 2020 with his family (wife-Jessica Ditzel, and three kids).

On the JRE episode #1514 with Joe De Sena, Rogan revealed why he relocated from Los Angeles to Austin.

“I just want to go somewhere in the center of the country. Somewhere it’s easier to travel to both places,” the UFC announcer said. Rogan hosts his podcast from his home itself, as he built a studio at his residence for The Joe Rogan Experience.
