One name that stands as a true legend in the realm of MMA is Junior Dos Santos. With his impeccable knockout prowess, he proved to the world why he was surely a heavyweight great. But for him and his fans, the previous few years have not been ideal in terms of his MMA performance. However, the legend has left the dark past behind to showcase his dominance yet again, defeating former colleague Fabricio Werdum for the second time in their careers.

In the recent main event of Jorge Masvidal‘s Gamebred Bareknuckle 5, fans witnessed the clash of two UFC legends, one being Dos Santos and the other being Fabricio Werdum. A video of the same surfaced on Instagram and went on to draw the attention of the fans. Let’s find out what happened next.

Recently, UFC legend Masvidal posted a clip on Instagram. It featured the clash between two former UFC heavyweights in the main event of Gamebred Bareknuckle 5. However, it only gave a glimpse of that contest. Interestingly, both former UFC champions are colliding after a span of 15 years. In fact, their previous clash took place back in October 2008 at UFC 90, which kicked off the dominant reign of Dos Santos. The Brazilian not only knocked the latter out but started his UFC career with a bang.

Notably, both might have considered the same scenario in their minds while entering the octagon for the second time against each other. But fate yet again planned to favor Dos Santos. Interestingly, ‘Cigano’ took charge from the initial round and was eventually able to end his five-fight losing streak by winning that bout.

Their rivalry seemingly reached the point where both the legends were in the limbo of their career. Furthermore, a glimpse of the clash was shared by Masvidal on Instagram. The video had a caption that quoted “A lot of decent exchanges in our main event CLASH! @werdum and @juniorcigano was one for the books!” It got featured on Instagram and had all the chances to draw the attention of the fans.
