In a recent Instagram post, the 47-year-old shared a heartfelt message for his father. The Brazilian lost his father in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Three years later, Silva shared his heartfelt message for his deceased father.

The post on Instagram gathered reactions from his wife and middleweight champion and fellow Brazilian Alex Pereira. Silva‘s message had an old video of his father applying sunscreen on his face while on a boat on a sunny day. He captioned the post with a message that read, “Hi dad, today I was looking at this video and decided to write this text, we are far apart but close always close in thoughts and in the heart… I love you so much, I miss our conversations, just know that I’m very proud of you…”

Continuing further, the 34-11 record holder wrote, “We are not perfect and no matter the distance or how long it takes to see each other, know that you are my hero, never forget that!!! Bad boys my elastic band Lolololol I love you”

Silva‘s message saw a message from her wife, Dayane. She commented, “He’s amazing, I love you”.

Middleweight champion Alex Pereira also sent his regards to Silva‘s father with a folded hands emoji.

Another fan commented, responding to Silva‘s message, “Top warrior. Our parents are our best teachers and a lot of them are our best life examples”.
