UFC commentator and stand-up comedian Joe Rogan is no stranger to hecklers. The 55-year-old has long been a part of the comedy circles and is a respectable name among individuals like Dave Chappelle, Bill Burr, etc. Rogan even has a few Netflix specials in his name which have been received quite well by the audience. Naturally, the UFC commentator is acquainted with hecklers and knows how to handle them in his own way. One such incident happened to occur when the comedian was hanging out with Welterweight champion Leon Edwards.
Funnily, the incident, which was narrated by Rogan in one of the JRE episodes, didn’t ring any bells with Edwards. The welterweight champ even went on to blame his inability to recollect the incident on getting drunk that particular night.

Leon Edwards can’t recollect the incident of Joe Rogan saving a man from him
In an episode of ‘Sober October’ on JRE, Rogan sat down with his comedy crew of Ari Shaffir, Bert Kreischer, and Tom Segura. As jokes continued throughout the episode, Segura happened to recollect an incident involving a UFC fighter and a heckler. While Rogan took over recollecting the story, it sounded like the 55-year-old ended up doing the heckler a favor considering it was Edwards he was dealing with.
“Some guy was talking s*** to Leon Edwards and I said, ‘You are making a critical mistake. Let me just step in right here”.
“First off, you’re out of line and you’re being a s***head to him for no f***ing reason,” explained Rogan.

The incident is said to have happened in 2021. And maybe that is the reason that Edwards finds it hard to recollect the incident. As reported by TalkSport, the welterweight champion admitted to being intoxicated that night, which might have contributed to the hazy memory. “I can’t remember! I remember Joe telling me, but I must’ve been drunk. Can’t remember that happening, but Joe never lies. Just can’t remember it,” stated the 31-year-old.
