However, there seems to be no rest for the weary, as the UFC’s ‘Tarzan’ is now set to face yet another fighter hailing from Dagestan, Abus Magomedov. Strickland’s impressive record and his recent victory over Imavov have undoubtedly garnered attention, making him a target for hungry contenders eager to make a name for themselves.

The two are prepared to headline the main event bout at UFC on ESPN 47. Magomedov sees this fight as his chance to make a significant impact and leave a lasting impression in the UFC following his debut and the only fight in the UFC. And in this pursuit, the 32-year-old has sent Strickland a stern reminder ahead of their clash.

A strong warning for Sean Strickland

During a recent interview with TMZ, Abus Magomedov, a promising MMA fighter with an impressive record of 25-4-1 [1-0 in the UFC], took some time to reflect on his upcoming main event clash against Sean Strickland, a seasoned fighter with a record of 26-5-0 [13-5-0 in the UFC].

As Magomedov opened up about his preparation and mindset leading up to the fight, the 32-year-old Dagestani expressed his respect for his opponent, stating, “He is tough. Tough opponent. He fought already against tough guys.”

 

Furthermore, Magomedov revealed the magnitude of this fight, stating, “It will be like, big fight for me. The hardest fight in my career. And I prepared for this. I prepare for die and Saturday night, I will show you guys.”

Confidence exuded from Magomedov’s words as he not only expressed his preparedness but also revealed his ambition to achieve more than just a win.

Delving further into the discussion, Magomedov shared his perspective on how he envisioned the fight unfolding. He emphasized his versatility, stating, “For me, it doesn’t matter. We prepared to stand up, grappling, ground game, doesn’t matter. I try always to finish my fights and stand up because this is the most exciting way to win [and] get a bonus, of course.”

The stakes are high, and Strickland must be wary of the threat he faces as he steps into the Octagon. A big challenge rests on both ends here. The fight takes place on July 1 at the UFC Apex facility in Enterprise, Nevada, Las Vegas.
