Michael Jai White is a renowned martial artist who closely associates with UFC and some of its most prominent fighters like Jon Jones, Francis Ngannou, and many more. Although he hasn’t ever competed professionally and has no plans of ever doing so, he understands the complexity and the technicalities of the sport.

When White talks about the technical side of the sport, his opinions and takes are backed by years of practice and study of martial arts as a discipline. He seldom speaks highly about fighters and upon training with Jon Jones, had nothing but praises for the UFC HW champ. However, there is another UFC personality whose back-spinning kick impressed White a great deal.

Joe Rogan has a way with words, and that is one of his best weapons. The UFC commentator has an illustrious combat background but still chooses to impact the world through his analysis, words, and debates. However, that doesn’t take away from the fact that he is more than equipped to dish out significant damage.

Michael Jai White, who is a highly skilled martial artist himself, had applauded Joe Rogan’s back-spinning kick and ranked it as the second-best back-spinning kick that he had ever seen. Coming from a master of the discipline who holds black belts across seven different combat disciplines speaks volumes about the UFC commentator’s ability to knock the wind out of an opponent using just his back-spinning kick.

In an old interview, the Hollywood actor spoke highly of Joe Rogan and his perfected ‘back-spinning kick’. “Joe Rogan, at the top… he’s of the… he’s the… I say he’s number two best back-spinning kick I’ve ever seen. Number one is Benny Urquidez.” White had once said.

Benny Urquidez, also known as Benny The Jet, is a former American Kickboxer who, in Michael Jai White’s opinion, is the owner of the meanest and most devastating back-spinning kick in the world.

Michael Jai White’s famous film ‘Blood and Bone’ was supposed to feature the UFC commentator in a co-lead role. However, Rogan backed out.

Joe Rogan earned the respect of Michael Jai White and a UFC Legend…

It is not easy to squeeze a compliment out of White, especially when it comes to combat and martial arts. The martial artist-actor was really surprised to see Joe Rogan pack quite a punch in his back-spinning kick. However, he was not the only one who spoke highly of Rogan’s kicking prowess.

A lot of people might have found it surprising that White ranked Joe Rogan’s back-spinning kick so high on his list. However, few would know that the UFC commentator actually has a record of 152,000 on PowerKube. This is more than the punch record set by Francis Ngannou. In fact, even Alex Pereira‘s kick couldn’t beat Rogan’s score.
