Joe Rogan is renowned for his podcast as well as his thriving career in the UFC. The color commentator has garnered immense love from his fans and the combat community for these endeavors. Specifically, his podcasts are among the most beloved worldwide, and he possesses the ability to significantly influence people. However, at times, this influence can have unintended consequences for Rogan.

Quite recently, Joe Rogan extended an invitation to a guest purportedly identified as a government agent. However, this move sparked a substantial backlash against the podcaster. Let’s delve into the context to better understand the situation.

Why did Joe Rogan face backlash from his fans?

Joe Rogan recently hosted David Grusch, who is a former Air Force intelligence officer, representative of the National Reconnaissance Office to the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force, and co-lead for Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Analysis at the National Geo-Spatial Intelligence Agency.

The two had conversations about UFOs and aliens, considering that the guest was a former intelligence officer of the department that deals with unidentified space phenomena and possible visitors from outer space.

However, fans didn’t find it amusing at all. Many were in fact sceptical of the things being discussed. The community took to the internet to express their disappointment. Some of the comments by the fans are as follows:

It can be understood from the reactions of the fans that they are not delighted by Joe Rogan’s choice of guest in his podcast. They added that they are not interested in listening to lies about  UFOs.

However, readers may be intrigued by why the presence of such an expert triggered so many reactions. After all, there are many people who have spoken about UFOs in the past and it is not that all have them sparked reactions like the above. In fact, Joe Rogan has himself admitted to being fascinated by the subject of aliens.  The answer to the above reactions might lie in the fact that David Grusch had earned some notoriety in the past and even earlier this year over his claims regarding UFOs. David Grusch’s whistleblower incident

David Grusch claimed that he had information that the US government was hiding necessary knowledge about alien civilizations. He claimed that there is a government-funded program that deals with UFOs and alien technology. He further emphasized that there are people from the government who verify his claims. With his firm belief, Grusch filed a whistleblower complaint with the ICIG and testified before the House Committee on Accountability.

Grusch’s high claim got a severe backlash from his critics. They challenged him to provide proper evidence for his claims. They went on further to add that he was fabricating his claims and asserted that he was a part of the disinformation campaign. Even Grusch’s former colleagues disregarded his claims. His former employer sued him for breaching the terms of the contract. Regardless of anything, Grusch’s statement has not been proven as of now, and his words should be taken with a pinch of salt.
