Fox asked the Irish fighter about his opinion on his co-star’s UFC bout.‘The Notorious’ claimed that he taught the shots to Gyllenhaal. However, he did not want it to be completely technical. The Dubliner said, “Took over the internet, yeah. But he, I taught the shots, and the shots were pretty good… All we wanted was the shots, not like technically mixed martial arts, I didn’t want that.”
Furthermore, the former UFC double champion opined that Gyllenhaal was, in fact, a great guy. Nevertheless, the fighter had nothing but good words for his Hollywood debut movie. “He’s a great, great guy. He was very patient with me, and I was very patient with him. We understood about our skill set and what we brought to the table. And a dear friend of mine now, Jake Gyllenhaal, is. We doing, we doing a great movie… I’m doing the best I could with what I had at my disposal,” said McGregor.
